Rules for ELCWP members and non-members

1. Member definition
In addition to the ELCWP by-laws, a member has to satisfy the following criteria:
1.1. Obligations
A member is obliged to participate in the whole therapeutic, diagnostic (or other) programs elaborated by the ELCWP, at each of the following levels:
- protocol elaboration
- discussion of protocols, study results, therapeutic and diagnostic attitudes
- presentation of the patients included in the ELCWP trials during the workshops
- presence in the various activities of the group
An effective member is obliged to participate in at least one of the two regular annual business meetings, with the penalty of being renamed adherent member, otherwise.
1.2. Rights
An ELCWP member is entitled to
- participate in the Spring and Autumn business meetings
- participate in each ELCWP protocol, within the limits dictated by the national legislation
- access the restricted zone of the ELCWP website
In addition to the rights of an adherent member, effective members have the right to vote at the general assembly as well as to be elected as administrator.

2. Non-member definition
Every specialist willing to participate to the therapeutic programs of the ELCWP but not fulfilling the membership criteria can become a non-member participant of the Group. The non-member can participate, within the limits dictated by the national legislation, in only one of the ELCWP protocols. He/she has to obey the following rules:
- Every patient included in the protocol has to be presented for assessment during the workshops of the Group; the non-member must complete the report forms for each patient included in the trial
- A non-member has the same authorship rights as the member, in relation to the number of patients needed to be included in the trial
- A non-member has no access to the database of the trial in which he/she participates
- A non-member cannot present in a meeting, scientific or not, the results of an unpublished trial of the Group, nor can he/she publish in his/her name, all or part of the results, irrespectively of the type of publication
- A non-member has no right to participate in the business meetings unless he/she is invited
- A non-member has no right to participate in the elaboration or discussion of any ELCWP protocol unless he/she is invited
In order to acquire the right of participating in the ELCWP programs, a non-member has to submit his/her curriculum vitae to the President of the Group and to the national coordinator of the ELCWP trials together with an intention letter stating the protocol to which he/she wants to participate.
